Workshops

U-CAP conducts a two day workshop which is taught to clergy and law enforcement. This seminar teaches how to develop, organize, structure, manage and set up a successful program in their community. This program will be run by the local police department. Through this training, we will show you how to develop resources and build relationships with your local faith community and build a network that is ready to provide assistance during times of crisis... from domestic disputes, to natural disasters, and even terrorism.

Personnel

Congregations led by U-CAP members represent a pool of volunteers that can be quickly mobilized. These personnel will usually have experience in some or all of the following areas:

  • Food preparation/serving
  • Donation gathering, sorting and distribution
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Transportation (church vans and/or buses)
  • Child and Elderly care
  • Ethnic congregations may be able to provide translation services (Spanish, Vietnamese, Bosnian, Korean, etc)

Facilities

U-CAP members have immediate access to facilities associated with their churches. These facilities may include:

  • Auditoriums/Classrooms
